Come join Jay Doige at The Old School House Arts Center August 1st to 5th and explore the world of Ronald Dahl's The Big Friendly Giant! For ages 6 to 12 Jay has adapted this popular children's story which follows a young girl, Sophie, as she befriends a giant named "BFG".
They set out together to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world. Children can experience the world of theatre using their own imaginations. Children will have the opportunity to partake in the many aspects of theatre including : painting the backdrops, learning the story, and sharing lots of laughs along the way!
Each child will work on a part suited to his/her age. Some children may memorize their lines, and others will be prompted. Jay has taught this popular acting workshop at TOSH for over 10 years! Children can attend either MORNINGS from 9:30 to 12:00pm, AFTERNOONS from 1:00 to 3:30pm, or FULL DAYS from 9:30 to 3:30pm. Children who are staying the full day are expected to bring a lunch to be eaten in the neighboring park with Jay.
