Stringband Reunion Tour Stops on Gabriola!

On Wednesday, July 17th, 7:30pm, at the Gabriola Community Hall, Gabriolans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear the pioneering Canadian folk group Stringband, who are reuniting for their 40th anniversary to play the Winnipeg and Vancouver Folk Music Festivals and several other shows that are already selling out fast. Fortunately for us they are including Gabriola!
Stuart Mclean of CBC's Vinyl Cafe has written, "Like Gordon Lightfoot or Monique Leyrac, like Margaret Atwood or Robertson Davies, Stringband made you proud to be Canadian. They skated through the coffee houses and concert halls with the grace of Bobby Orr and the passion of Rocket Richard."
