Based on Vancouver Island, Trinitude is a band whose music is best described as Celtic flavoured Roots with an edge. Melodic and lyrical components share the spotlight equally in Trinitude�s choice of material. A passionate interest in social justice fuels the creation of many original works while other manifest as lively, sometimes humorous glimpses at people, places, and things. Trinitude�s music is personal, heartfelt, and uplifting in a way that makes it accessible to all.

With a cultural identity rich in Irish, French, and Newfoundland traditions, this family trio consisting of Merisa Donoghue, Les Tibbo, and Emily Celeste have been performing to ever growing audiences since 2005. The trio are often joined by bassist Tiffany Nelson. In Trinitude�s music, punk rock, folk traditions, and country-blues/roots influences collide in an exciting explosion of colourful, creative expression, which gives rise to the band�s uniquely Canadian sound.

While tight harmonies, high energy, intriguing stories, and humour are the hallmarks of a typical, family friendly Trinitude performance, this band also has boundless enthusiasm for the creative journey. Interesting and complex arrangements, a highly developed stage show, and the addition of Emily Celeste playing hurdy gurdy on some songs prove the point. Trinitude believes that audience and performers are both integral parts of the whole and encourage active participation in their shows when the opportunity arises.
