Storytelling and Mindfulness Workshop

In this experiential workshop, storyteller and mindfulness teacher Margo McLoughlin will invite children and youth to discover the many ways they can practice mindfulness, whether it is mindfulness of hearing, mindfulness of tasting, or mindfulness of emotions.
Margo McLoughlin has been studying and practicing mindfulness meditation for close to thirty years. She is a BC certified teacher, as well as a graduate of the Harvard Divinity School. Margo combines storytelling with teaching mindfulness by inviting her young listeners to reflect on the themes of the story, before, during and after the presentation. Vocalizing and movement help the children and youth to fully enter the story-world, while follow-up art and writing activities reinforce the experience of attentive engagement. www.margostoryteller.net
