Stock the Lockers Wrap-Up BBQ

The Nanaimo-Ladysmith School Foundation (NLSF) and Coastal Community Credit Union (CCCU) is wrapping up the Stock the Lockers campaign with a lunchtime BBQ. For a minimum $5 donation the public can get a BBQ lunch. Staff from the CCCU Harbourfront Centre will volunteer their time to cook and serve the lunch. Thrifty Foods Brooks Landing have donated the food for this event.

The Stock the Lockers campaign this year is looking to raise $50,000 to purchase school supplies and to help provide necessities for needy students throughout the year. Coastal Community Credit Union is looking to raise $15,000 towards the initiative. If they do a variety of members from the community will shave their heads at the BBQ.

Donations are accepted via cash or cheque through the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation office 250-753-4074 or online at www.nlsf.ca. Donations can be made at any Staples location in Nanaimo at the checkout, at the four Coastal Community Credit Union locations in Nanaimo.
