This two-day workshop uses flora as the subject matter to explore traditional and contemporary approaches to the still life genre. The workshop will begin by looking at historical references and themes that are commonly associated with flowers. Students will create two paintings over the two days: the first painting will be a traditional arrangement with flowers, the second will incite a new perspective of flora with pieced together and fragmented plant-life components. Acrylic or oil painters welcome. Some painting experience recommended. Suitable for beginners. Jul 6&7 Saturday & Sunday, 10am - 5pm
