The practice of Sacred Dance was born more than 30 years ago when traditional European folk dances were brought to the intentional spiritual community of Findhorn in Scotland. Sacred Dancing works with the movement vocabulary of the old dances of Europe to explore humanity's interconnectedness with all of Life; the dances are in general simpler than folk dances, done with mindful intention to both traditional and contemporary music.

Friedel Kloke-Eibl founded and leads the training program Meditation des Tanzes � Sacred Dance based in Germany. Since 1981, more than 800 people have studied with her in places as diverse as Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Bali, Argentina and Brazil.
