Have a burning desire to try stand-up comedy?
Here is where to scratch that itch.
Kirsten teaches a unique course that will jump-start you past amateur mistakes and create funny, original material 7 Wednesdays 7-9pm April 8 to May 20 $160 Every week you will be given writing exercises, a chance to share your jokes (if you want) and constructive feedback.
You will learn about joke structure and discover your own voice and style. Find out about the showbiz side of comedy – managers, touring, festivals, sitcoms. Discuss comedy (are any topics ever Not Funny?) with other funny folks. And maybe even make some friends.
Ordinary people who have taken this class have gone on to: - appear on national TV - host and produce their own comedy club shows - compete and WIN in comedy competitions AND some folks just cross Standup Comedy off their bucket list and move on to jumping out of airplanes and climbing Kilimanjaro. It’s all good.
Allow 30-60 minutes OUTSIDE of class for creative thinking and joke writing.
