St. Patrick's Traditional Family Barn Dance hosted by Nanaimo Fiddle Society

This family-friendly traditional St. Paddy's Barn Dance will feature live fiddle music and an experienced caller. Dance experience is NOT necessary and all dances will be taught in circles and lines.

Even if you are not Irish, come on out and experience traditional Canadian fun, prairie-style. This is not a square dance and a partner is not needed. People who wear something green will receive a friendly shout out from the fiddle band. Enjoyable for students, seniors, singles, couples, grandparents and families young and old.

People who prefer not to dance are welcome to sit back and enjoy an evening of toe-tappin' fiddle music. Ages 2 - 102.

Doors open at 6:30 and dance begins promptly at 7:00 and ends at 9:00 or 9:30. The last hour will have more challenging steps and patterns and is not suitable for wee ones. This is a non-alcohol event. Please bring a water bottle and a smile.
