St. Aidan’s United Church hosts its Annual Bazaar every autumn, welcoming hundreds of people from all over Greater Victoria. Visitors have told us we have the “best Bazaar in the City”!


This year again, the Bazaar will fill the upper and lower halls with 17 “stalls” including:


Baking Bread, cakes, cookies, muffins, tarts, shortbread and our famous homemade, ready-to-bake apple pies!


Toys  Games, books, puzzles, all sorts of stuffies, building sets, dolls, trucks, baby toys too! Great stuff at reasonable prices.


Plants  Indoor and outdoor, all things green! Accessories, too – pots, baskets, tools.


Preserves  Jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles from this year’s harvest. Also goodies for eating or gift giving, such as dry mixes for soup or baking.


Books  Hardcover, paperbacks, children’s books, cookbooks, coffee table tomes.


Vintage  Every last thing you can imagine - manufactured and used prior to 1970.


Linen & Lace  Tablecloths, serviettes, doilies, cushion covers, runners. Anything old (vintage even!) for bedroom, bathroom or kitchen.


China  Specialty pieces, crystal, fine china, stemware and pottery; that perfect piece for your sideboard.


Christmas  Ornaments, trees, gift boxes, candles, outdoor decorations, all things bright and festive.


Gifts  Handmade articles and crafts, lots of variety – decorative items for gift-giving.


Handbags  Formal, casual, leather, fabric, beaded, all sizes of purses and bags.


International Treasures  Anything and everything from around the world.


Jewellery  Necklaces, earrings, rings, brooches, bracelets, watches, fine pieces and costume jewellery.


Knitting  Knitted or crocheted scarves, hats, slippers, baby things, sweaters – wonderful handmade gifts for someone you love.


Sewing  Placemats, napkins, tea cozies, tablecloths, aprons, cushions, oven mitts, quilted articles – handmade treasures.


Nice & New  Re-gifting central! Brand new, unopened articles – cosmetics, ornaments, giftware, housewares, computer accessories, toys – you name it!


Silent Auction  Interesting, eye-catching articles (large or small) such as paintings, ornaments, sports equipment, china and silver pieces, antiques. Services ranging from rides to the ferry, babysitting and family photography.


Thrift Shop  Our famous Thrift Shop will be open - housewares, clothing, electronics, tools and more!


You won’t leave hungry!


Snacks We'll have coffee, juice and homemade muffins available throughout the day for a very reasonable price. Feel free to sit and relax and watch the sales swirl about you!


Luncheon  There will be two sittings for our lovely sit-down lunch, complete with tablecloths and centrepieces: 11:15am and 12:45pm. $8 tickets can be purchased well in advance, It's a good idea to buy early, they often sell out!


Your participation helps us help others


St. Aidan’s United Church is an active community of over 600 individuals with links to many organizations within Greater Victoria. Through a combination volunteer hours, facility use, cash donations and re-distribution of donated household items and clothing, St. Aidan’s membership supports Our Place, the Victoria Women’s Transition House, Together Against Poverty Society, PEERS, Children’s International Summer Village, the Shelbourne Community Kitchen, Girl Guides and Scouts, Hospice bereavement groups, the Mt. Tolmie Community Association, the Open Heart Society, the SPCA, the Red Cross, the Single Parent Resource Centre, the Sexual Assault Centre, and many international development projects, including relief work in Haiti, Syria, and the Philippines. This work is achieved through the good spirit and effort of St. Aidan’s people, and funded, in part, by the St. Aidan’s Fall Bazaar and its year-round Thrift Shop.
