Ukulapha Community Outreach project is located in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and is an international project of VIDEA, a registered non profit in Victoria since 1978.
Ukulapha provides direct support for 1020 schoolchildren through training, sponsorships and community outreach. The project coordinator, Carolyn Burns lived in Victoria, BC for 25 years. She made the decision to return to her homeland in 2007 and develop a plan to give back to her community, She chose to affiliate with the school in the township of Slangspruit, close to her home in Pietermaritzburg.
