7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

How do we make meaning out of our suffering? How does one cope with the powerful emotions of guilt, anger, rage, jealousy? No matter what our beliefs, we all search for understanding. A psychotherapist looks at how trauma of any sort often causes the shattering of innocence and frequently a loss of faith.

But while it often challenges our spirituality, it also invites us to a questioning which leads us to new growth and awakening. Adrienne Carter is a psychotherapist and trainer who has had the opportunity to work in numerous parts of the world with traumatized people of all races, ethnic and religious groups. She is currently part of a group setting up a Mental Health Project to provide trauma counselling for the refugee and immigrant population who have come to Victoria to find a new life.
