Grade 9/10 Spectrum Students Raising funds to Build well in Africa and raise awareness for mitochondrial disease Join us at the fabulous Spectacular Fall Fair November 13th, 2015 957 Burnside Road West 4-7 PM
Come and be AMAZED Did you know kids have to walk over 2 km just to get a bucket of water for their daily drinking and cleaning needs? The worst part is that the water you worked so hard for contains all kinds of nasty bacteria and diseases like malaria and dysentery.
To help solve this we are raising money to build fresh, clean water well in a village in Liberia; which has been stricken with drought, famine, Ebola, and war. We are also raising money to provide awareness and research into Mitochondrial Disease which attacks women. If the mother has it, there is a 100% chance the daughters get it. It is a deadly disease that will kill them at any age.
The Spectacular Fair will run from 4 to 7.
Awesome games, great treats, fabulous food, haunted house and much more! Everyone one welcome – fun for all ages!
