This is a 1 hour free event that happens for all the Fridays in June, July and August.. It is a great way to pass the summer inNanaimo.. Bring the children and the grandparents.. The music is of a wide variety and top quality! See the poster and names of the artists for more of an idea if you are a Nanaimo resident and if you aren't, definitely come and check out something new and different! The Old City Quarter is located close to the downtown core of Nanaimo in the area of Fitzwilliam Street and Wesley Street..

The events happen at 3 different locations for each month.. June the music happens at 427 Fitzwilliam just outside and close to Bocca Coffee House.. July the events take place at Wesley Square - 335 Wesley St, half way down the block.. In August the music happens at Heritage Mews, 321 Wesley St, across from St Andrews Church.. There will be first come, first served seats available for those in need of a chair.

Bring your lunch and meet with your friends! Enjoy the Sounds of Summer in the Old City Quarter starting Friday June 7th noon and running until August 30th.. The last performance will be a special 2 hour performance with Knacker's Yard, a celtic infused band that is sure to get you moving and dancing.
