What is LukeFest? It is a series of concerts and events raising money for the Victoria Conservatory of Music's Chwyl Family School of Contemporary Music in honour of Luke Rachwalski. Luke Rachwalski was a Victoria, BC musician who died tragically in a house fire in Montreal in 2014.
To honour his spirit and passion for music, Luke’s family established the Luke Rachwalski Memorial Fund and in 2015, Rachwalski’s family started working with the Chwyl Family School of Contemporary Music at the Victoria Conservatory of Music to raise money for scholarships – Luke’s Gift - and songwriting workshops - Luke’s Legacy.
