On this year�s International Music Day, Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park will be the setting for SongScapes, a unique grassroots singing festival blending the splendour of nature with the pristine sound of choir voices.

Hosted by the British Columbia Boys Choir, SongScapes is a free public concert, which will feature numerous choirs of all styles and ages. The BC Boys Choir was specially chosen to create and host the SongScapes event by the BC Parks� 100th anniversary celebrations commission, in conjunction with the �Arts in the Park� program.

The 80-member BC Boys Choir, as well as the Village Voices; the Craig Bay Choristers; The Tidesmen Chorus; and the Aspengrove and Uplands school choirs are just some of the voices that will be resonating next to Rathtrevor�s seaside, with Mother Nature as the backdrop.

People of all ages are sure to enjoy this open-air musical treat. Audience members are invited to bring a fold-up chair or blanket and possibly an umbrella, as this event will happen rain or shine. The site is wheelchair accessible, several parking lots and park washroom facilities are available close by. The SongScapes stage will be located near the children�s playground by the beach, with easy access from the P1 parking lot.
