Help us raise funds to keep a refugee safe until they arrive in Nanaimo. It costs about $33,000 to sponsor an individual person to come to safety. This provides one year of support after arrival. It does not include pre-arrival needs.
It can take up to two years for an accepted refugee to arrive at her/his destination of safety. During this time the prospective newcomer often needs assistance with shelter, food, and medical costs.
