MySocial Productions presents Blogging and Social Media Bootcamp Victoria.

This event is for everyone in the business, education or non-profit sector who wants to learn more about blogging, social media, WordPress, marketing, content development, and more.

Learn from 17 of the brightest minds, mixing and matching sessions from three streams: Social Media, WordPress, and Blogging and Content. Speakers and other experts will be on hand at the Knowledge Cafe to help you with specific questions.

Steve Dotto, Dotto Tech

Steve possesses a unique, refreshing, and thought-provoking view of the world of technology and how it impacts our lives. He has a talent for looking at technology and understanding how it affects us, not just how it works and what it will do for us; Steve explains, with great insight and humour, the effect technology has on our work and personal lives!

Spending 15 years teaching Canadians how to use and embrace technology has given Steve a unique perspective on the changing world; a perspective that he shares with energy and passion. A background in comedy, including stints in theatre and with Second City, contribute to make Steve an engaging, relevant, often irreverent, and highly entertaining speaker.

Prepare to dive in for a practical and hands-on session where participants will learn some of the key strategies used to maximize LinkedIn profiles.

Jennifer Gill (BA, BEd, MA) is the Experiential Learning Manager for the Bachelor of Commerce program at UVic�s Gustavson School of Business. Jennifer�s career has spanned several fields, including post-secondary teaching and ESL school administration. She was recently awarded a �Learning Without Borders� grant award for her Career Preparation Across Borders (COM 405) course, a globally accessible and fully customizable experiential learning course made possible through the use of integrated social media and distance learning technologies.

You know what how to tweet and post, but how can you be more strategic with your content? This workshop is for the social media community manager or marketer who uses multiple channels. How do you link your content to your strategic goals and keep track of what to post, when, where and why? Terry Rachwalski of the Tartan Group will walk attendees through the concepts. Each attendee will learn how to build and take action on their own storyboard.

Terry Rachwalski is President of Amplified Services with the Tartan Group. She helps Tartan Group tourism clients implement integrated marketing communications strategies including social media promotions and contests. An award winning certified management consultant, she has worked with clients in North and Central America, Europe and the Caribbean and has spoken on digital strategies for the Eco-Tourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference, Canadian Public Relations Society, Management Consulting conferences and Social Media Camp.
