Educating youth is one of the most valued objectives of The Didi Society. A holistic and permanent change at the global level needs to include local awareness about the global impact our local decisions have. The most effective way to bring a change locally is through youth. This is our fourth annual conference, and it's growing each year!

We have three objectives for this conference: to provide youth with the opportunity to learn more about and explore social justice topics with their peers to empower youth to take action by giving them concrete ways to take action in their community to connect youth with other like-minded youth to instigate relationships that can lead to collaboration and chang-making teams. Participants will: meet other youth interested in making positive change in the world gain concrete skills for taking action or further learning in social justice learn, experience and explore the following topics: Global and fair trade Sustainable development (enviornmental impact). Gender equality Privilege and discrimination have an opportunity to create an action plan to create change be able to share your own experiences in social justice as well as the work you're currently doing and find people to help you reach your goals and make change

Who runs the conference? The conference is designed, organized, and facilitated by youth. These are Didi Society volunteers, student helpers, and youth who are completing The Didi Society’s Social Justice Youth Leadership certification training. Having expanded their knowledge on specific social justice issues and learned facilitation tools and skills, these youth will facilitate the workshops with a dynamic and exploratory design.
