It's time to celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday and the Craig Bay Choristers are doing it in style. So many wonderful songs composed and arranged by Canadian musicians will be featured in this salute entitled "Sing Your Song, Canada!".
Join the Craig Bay Choristers for an evening of music ranging from patriotic to just plain fun on Friday, May 5th - 7 p.m. at Knox United Church, Pym Street, Parksville under the talented direction of Lonnie Moddle.
If you've heard this group before you will know they get into the spirit of the pieces they perform and this concert will be no exception; you will love "The Hockey Song" and be moved by the beautiful "Wood River" and "I Dreamed of Rain".
So wave your flag and join us in saluting our country on this milestone anniversary.
The Choristers' resident pianist, Carl McLuhan, is back at the ivories and we welcome flautist Karen Withers-Janssen along with our in house band of musicians; Wally Chinn on percussion, Stan Brown on guitar and David Moddle helping us out on bass.
Tickets are $15 for adults/children under 12 free and are available from the Knox United Church office - (Tel: 250 248-3927), and through choir members. (Partial proceeds go to Oceanside Hospice)
