Sing for Xpey' (Cedar) Musical Event

Join us for a community music event in support of Xpey' (cedar) and the Quw'utsun' Cultural Connections Society's project to restore and protect this beloved cultural species for generations 500 years from now.
The afternoon will feature:
Quw'utsun' Elders sharing cultural stories about Xpey' and the project
Cari Burdett's mighty Lila community choir
Logan Staats, Multi-award winning Mohawk singer songwriter from Six Nations
Luke Wallace, Environmentalist and folk singer/songwriter from Saltspring Island.
Quin Etheridge - Pedden, Award winning multi-instrumentalist 11 year old Opal Hallett, Singer songwriter
There will be cedar seedlings and native plants for sale as well as lots of delicious snacks, coffee and tea, with all proceeds going toward restoring the conditions for Xpey' to thrive.
A family-friendly event to come together and learn more about this iconic species.
"They say that Xpey' has 60 years to survive. We won't just stand by and let that happen."
Suggested Donation: Sliding Scale $25 - $45 per person. Children and Quw'utsun' mustimuhw free.
