EveryBodySings! presents our 10th Anniversary Concert: SING FOR JOY!
We sing world music: African, Maori, Latin, etc; and gospel songs with spirit, joy and enthusiasm! Our singing is acappella (unaccompanied) in 3 and 4-part harmony.
Although our groups are not performance-oriented, we love to share our music and our joy of singing with the community.
These creative singing circles were founded by Cyndi Doell and Shirley Whitelaw in 2001, to provide a fun, safe place for anyone of any age or ability to sing. Cyndi and Shirley are powerful, energetic, fun, choir and workshop leaders, who truly believe that everyone can sing, given the right encouragment and atmosphere for vocal development.
Because they believe in the tranformational power of singing, they love to encourage and inspire others to: discover and/or reclaim their voices, to express their own creativity, and experience the joy of singing.
Our singing clubs are like creative singing clusters: relaxed, informal and fun.
This concert will be a fund-raiser to benefit our Scholarship Fund, which helps reduce the fees for singers who are under-waged. Admission is by donation.
