2012 marks year 16 for the Silver Spur Riding Clubs Toy Ride For SOS. Each year Oceanside area horse enthusiasts ride the streets of Parksville to gather and deliver toys to SOS. Riders from south and north of the area frequently join in the fun. There is no cost, just bring a new, unwrapped toy for the cause. The majority of the toys collected come from the riders but we always welcome donations along the route. This year we head out from Ballenas Secondary east bound on Morrison to McMillan and up to SOS. After a break we carry on to Stanford Place to have the horses visit with our local seniors,pick up thier donations and return to the trailers via Hirst ave.
Come and lend some support or just enjoy seeing some beautiful horses lead by a draft team and big wagon. This is not something you get to see on city streets too often
