Canada Day Parade
11:30 am to 12:30 pm
Beacon Avenue
The Parade route begins along Resthaven Drive and turns onto Beacon Avenue. It continues down Beacon Avenue, turning right onto Second Street and ending at Ocean Avenue. Once the parade completes its route, people are encouraged to move to Iroquois Park to join in the Family Fun Fair with carnival-style games, food, ice cream with the Mayor & Council, dog show, and more!
Family Fun Fair
12:30 to 4:00 pm
Iroquois Park
The fun continues with a variety of activities for the entire family including an inflatable obstacle course, carnival-style games, dog show, watermelon eating contest, life-size hamster balls, El Paso Train, Food Vendors, and FREE ice cream from Sidney's Mayor and Council.
Slegg Build-a-Boat Race
Build begins: 12:00 pm Beacon Park
Race Time: 4:30 pm
The Slegg Build-a-Boat is a classic during Sidney's Canada Day Celebrations. Teams are provided with materials to build a boat and then set sail on the Salish Sea to compete for the best boat. Fun and hilarity ensue as teams discover if their ship can sail.
