SHIVON ROBINSONG, master harmonizer and song leader extraordinaire is coming to Nanaimo�

From leading her first song, Shivon knew she had finally found her instrument. Growing up as a non-prodigy in an intensely musical family, Shivon often felt she must be the �unmusical one�.

Shivon has a degree in psychology from the University of Manitoba. After some years of teaching and counseling adults, she moved to Cortes Island, BC where she co-founded Hollyhock, Canada�s leading holistic learning center.

At Hollyhock, she trained with Susan Osborn, David Darling, Frankie Armstrong, Ann Mortifee, Ysaye Barnwell, Rhiannon, Chloe Goodchild and Russill Paul � who all emphasized that singing is for everyone. Moving to Victoria, she founded the non-auditioned Gettin� Higher Choir, which has steadily grown to 300+ people.

Shivon is creating/reviving a musical legacy which so many of us have almost lost: the simple act of singing. Through lessons learned by regaining her courage to sing, she�s now helping people of all ages rediscover the creativity and power of every voice.

Please join us for a day of pure singing joy. No singing experience required: just a desire to sing in harmony with others. All voices welcome. Here, even the shyest of voices can re-discover the joy of singing.

Repertoire will include songs from various traditions that are easy to learn, fun and uplifting to sing in glorious 3 and 4 part harmonies.

This will be a day to remember. Shivon has reconnected thousands of people with the joy of singing. Come build your singing human family!
