Singing her special brand of dirty, crass, and absurd "cuntry" music, Shirley belts out original tunes about the embarrassing, hilarious, and titillating adventures that happen when bodies collide. Her music, while smothered in explicit language and racy humor, have found a devoted local audience through her shameless renderings of sexuality in everyday life. Sometimes tongue-in-cheek, other times insightful and honest, Shirley weaves a live show that has people in hysterics - often in spite of themselves.
A few months after becoming a headliner, Shirley Gnome won over audiences all over Vancouver to become Patrick Maliha's The People Champ of Comedy Competition 2012 Grand Prize Winner, taking home $20,000 in the largest cash-prize comedy contest in Canada.
With her debut album Ho Down under her belt, and another entitled C*untry Music released earlier this year, Shirley shows no sign of stopping the party anytime soon.
