The wait is over! Vancouver Island's Shearwater Bluegrass Band is gearing up for two concerts in their respective home towns. Then it's off to Winnipeg to perform at the Canadian Folk Music Awards gala in late November.
But the most exciting news is that Miriam Sonstenes, Victoria's finest up-and-coming roots fiddler, joins the band just in time for the upcoming shows. Needless to say, the sparks will fly with lots of hot playing, but also keep an ear open for more vocal harmony, and even a four-part arrangement or two.
