Contemporary stencil printing allows for an acidless, pressless version of colour printing for short run editions. Learn basic colour separation & registration, stencil cutting, colour mixing and print handling. Monotype printing offers great freedom. Artists will experiment with various mediums (acrylic, oil, ink, chalk, water) and techniques (rubbing, rolling and writing) to produce one-offs from various surfaces.

Shawn Shepherd, born in Windsor, Ont., is primarily self-taught with an informal education sourced from local artists, books and travels to art museums in France, Italy, Mexico, & the USA. A multimedia artist, his work investigates aspects of popular culture. Shawn exhibits his work regularly in BC and is co-owner/curator of Polychrome Fine Arts in Victoria. www.shawnshepherd.com
