11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

On March 8th, join the Cowichan Green Community as we unveil our latest project, Sharing our Seed Stories.

A series of 10 digital stories that document the history and knowledge of seed saving in the Cowichan Region, the premier screening of Seed Stories will be at the 7th annual Duncan Seedy Sunday. Funded by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP), this community based project sought to engage seniors and elders who have specific knowledge of saving local and heritage seeds with youth interested in learning to save seed. Acting as mentors to other seniors, community members, and youth interested in seed saving, this project produced a series of digital stories that chronicled these anecdotes of seed saving in the Cowichan Region.

CGC is elated to share this project with the community. A selection of the stories will be screened at the Duncan Seedy Sunday from 10:15am-11:00am. Following, a reception will be held from 11am-2pm.
