The Comox Valley Growers and Seed Savers have been presenting Seedy Saturday in the Comox Valley for over 15 years. Seedy Saturdays take place across North America as a way to preserve and conserve local organic and non-hybrid seeds. Visit vendors and exhibitors of organic non-GE seeds & plants; local community food security groups, educators and learners; the Seedy Cafe and several local and Island experts on growing and saving seeds.
Seedy Saturday 2019 will be held on March 2nd at the Florence Filberg Centre, Courtenay. Our doors will be open from 10.00 till 3.00. Entrance is $5 and free after 2.00pm.
The theme for 2019 is “Building Biodiversity”
Speakers this year are Joyce MacMenamon and Leslie Cox.
