Francois Houle (clarinet), Joan Blackman(violin), and Jane Hayes(piano), combine excellent musicianship, interpretive prowess, and a willingness to experiment with dynamic, sometimes daring programming.

Each member of the trio has star-studded credentials. Mr. Houle has released over 20 CDs, received multiple Juno awards, and is credited with single-handedly expanding the clarinet’s repertoire by commissioning and premiering over 100 new works by Canadian and international composers.

Violinist Joan Blackman is Artistic Director of Vancouver’s Vetta Chamber Music Society and former associate concertmaster with the Vancouver Symphony. She has performed with a number of prestigious chamber ensembles including the Pedereski String Quartet, Purcell String Quartet and the Gryphon Trio.

Pianist Jane Hayes is an active recording artist with over 20 CDs available on a variety of labels including solo, chamber, and orchestral works. Since her debut with the Toronto Symphony she has performed across Canada, the USA, Europe, Mexico, and Asia. In 2017-18 Ms. Hayes performed in Bulgaria, gave a series of recitals, lectures and master classes in China, toured with Turning Point Ensemble with stops in Taipei, Beijing, and Singapore, and, finally, a trip to Croatia.
