Gavin Duncan is a third generation Scottish fiddle player from highland Perthshire near the home of Neil Gow, one of the most important composers of traditional Scottish fiddle music.
He has played with some of the leading modern players of Scottish traditional music.
Gavin has kindly agreed to lead a workshop to introduce the basic style of playing Scottish traditional music.
He learned his playing from his participation in the Dunkeld & District Strathspey and Reel Society and will share with you some of the playing techniques that separate Scottish and Irish music.
