International singing stars soprano Martha Guth and baritone Tyler Duncan and the pianist collaborator Erika Switzer return to British Columbia form their present homes in New York and Michigan for a rare evening devoted to love songs of Robert Schumann, deeply inspired by the love of his life, Clara Schumann. we'll hear the Bridal Wreath song cycle (op25 ) "Myrthen", and settings of Rriedrich Ruckert's love poetry.
It' promised to be an evening of deeply expressive German Romantic singing.
