add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
The national conference of the Storytellers of Canada – Conteurs du Canada is coming to Parksville in May, and the public is invited to listen, learn and be immersed in a weekend of storytelling events for adults. Participants can choose to sign up for the entire conference, participate in individual workshops, or attend one or both of the evening concerts. Conference organizers are particularly excited to be welcoming three international, award-winning storytellers. Noa Baum was born and raised in Jerusalem, and her performances and workshops focus on the power of stories to heal and build bridges for peace. Of Finnish descent, Loren Niemi has 40 years of professional storytelling under his belt and is a master of personal, traditional and ghost stories. Elizabeth Ellis grew up in the Appalachian Mountains. While her repertoire of Appalachian and Texas tales is extensive, Elizabeth is especially well known for her alternately poignant and hilarious personal stories.
