Victoria is the first stop of Sarah Rae's spring tour which will take her to Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary and Portland. She has a unique voice and style of music that combines Folk and Jazzy Blues. Musical influences have been Feist, Ingrid Michaelson, Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine and Adel. Writing music has been a passion since her early teens. She has been very involved in music education and performance during high school and university, which is where she met her wonderfully talented band. Sarah Rae competed in the CBC Searchlight 2014 contest for new artists and made it to the regional level. The contest started a few weeks ago with 4,500 entries and was narrowed down to 250 artists at the regional level. She has also been a finalist in Victoria Idol 2011 and the David Foster Fundraiser 2013 in Victoria.She is an accomplished artist that plays guitar, piano, ukelele,harmonica, tin whistle and clarinet.
