Enjoy live music and entertainment. And of course check out what started the market all those years ago - organic produce, farmstead cheeses, organic and delicious homemade snacks and food.

Meet over 140 artisans and food producers who all contribute to Salt Spring's international reputation as a hotbed of world-class artists and organic farmers.

What's so special about this market? The homespun guarantee of course! Vendors must "make it, bake it, or grow it" themselves, and all products must be "vendor produced and sold". These simple mandates are the essence of our market. Visitors are treated to local creations stemming from Salt Spring's unique brand of "island ingenuity". The highest calibre of creativity and production standards make Salt Spring Island home to the greatest collection of artists in Canada.   

Note: Dogs are NOT allowed in the Saturday Market. 

The SPCA provides an awesome first-come, first served volunteer-driven one-on-one dog sitting service. Because we can only help as many dogs as there are volunteers, it's impossible to guarantee anyone a spot. You might want to make alternative arrangements for Fido if you are heading to the Market.
