7:30 PM to 9:15 PM

Why are there so few women in politics? Why is public space, whether in the street or on social media, still so hostile to women? Is the #MeToo movement signalling a real shift in society’s treatment of women?

What is the future of feminism?

Globe and Mail columnist Elizabeth Renzetti joins the Salt Spring Forum to discuss these questions and many more!

Elizabeth Renzetti has written for the Globe and Mail from Toronto, Los Angeles, and London. Her newly published book, Shrewed: A Wry and Closely Observed Look at the Lives of Women and Girls, is a collection of essays that draws upon her decades of reporting on feminist issues. How far have women come? What is the state of feminism today? What is the best way forward? This is your chance to discuss these questions and more with Elizabeth Renzetti!
