Transgender and other gender variant people in our society face many challenges. However, as a recent National Geographic cover suggests, a Gender Revolution is taking place. Legislation in Canadian provinces increasingly protects gender identity and expression. Gender neutral bathrooms are emerging. The media is covering trans issues more.
A widespread conversation is happening – and the Forum wants you to be part of it! Please join us in conversation with Dr. Aaron Devor, the world’s only Research Chair in Transgender Studies, as well as the Founder and Academic Director of the world’s largest Transgender Archives, located at the University of Victoria.
Dr. Devor has been studying and teaching transgender topics for more than thirty years. Whether you are new to the subject of gender diversity, or already know a lot about it, this discussion promises to be informative and inspiring for all! The event will be moderated by Forum Manager Julian Paquette.
