For kids 3-12 years and their families, come and discover a special part of Cowichan River in Duncan and see the salmon spawn and court.
UPDATE:
There will now be three facilitators. Nature interpreter, Genevieve Singleton, will be leading us on a nature walk as we see the salmon. She will talk about the salmon's circle of life and why they are here at this time of year.
Department of Fisheries officer, Willi Jansen, DFO Outreach Officer and Nature interpreter Genevieve Singleton will do a fish dissection and walk.
There will be salmon activities for the kids and a special poster to take home after the walk.
Outdoor event - dress in layers, boots, jackets. Bring a snack.

Young Naturalists Club is a nature-based family club for 3-12 year olds. We meet monthly in the Cowichan Valley and discover nature, moderated by a Naturalist or Biologist. Come join us!
