6:30 PM

Join us for a panel discussion to learn how climate change will impact the region

We’ll look at what actions are needed to reduce our carbon footprint and ultimately achieve “one planet living”.
With droughts, floods and wildfires becoming more common in BC, we know climate change is already happening and that we need to drastically reduce our impact. But what does climate change look like for our local communities, and what can we do?
Speakers
• Dr. Tom Pedersen, past Executive Director, Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, will outline climate impacts and policy solutions for our region
• Dr. Nancy Turner, Emeritus Professor and Freeman of Saanich, combines ecological and traditional knowledge to address biodiversity in the time of climate change
• Dr. Jennie Moore, Associate Dean, BCIT, will explore what it takes to achieve “one planet” living
