Reserve the date! On December 10th from 10:30 to 3:30 come to 813 Darwin Ave to pick up those hard to find holiday gifts. The Garth Homer Society and The Schoolhouse Market are collaborating to bring you a unique and inclusive group of vendors offering a sea of treasures — gifts for yourself and others, including handmade crafts, arts, and delectable food items.

There will also be music and a grand prize giveaway. Entrance is $2.00 or a food bank donation (kids are free under 12). Garth Homer Self-Employment Initiative The Garth Homer Society’s Employment Service assists individuals with developmental disabilities to find employment opportunities in our community. For some, self-employment offers the flexibility, creativity, and independence needed to thrive. For others, self-employment can be a pathway to learning the skills that move them toward employment. The self-employment initiative was created to address the needs our clients with a passion, hobby or service they wanted to hone and bring to the market place. Each entrepreneur is supported to learn as much as they can about running a micro-enterprise and what it takes to be professional.

The Schoolhouse Market is a community-based market hosted at the Old Schoolhouse by Craigflower School. Founders of the market sought to create an event that was inclusive and affordable for startup and small businesses. The Schoolhouse Market is pleased to team up with The Garth Homer Society to bring an eclectic group of vendors together to create an exciting Christmas shopping event.
