Royal BC Museum: Wonder Sunday
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Wonder Sunday is an interactive, learning-based special event that happens from 1-3 pm on the last Sunday of every month (excluding December, July and August).
A theme, based on ideas inspired from our current exhibitions, is offered through activities and lively presentations for families.
From January to May 2016, Wonder Sunday will dig into the theme of food. Each month will explore different aspects of growing and preparing food.
January 31: First up- Menus! Participants will discover menus from the BC Archives, learn about the great diversity of foods from menus shared by community members, and make their own.
February 28: Leftovers! Do you want some great ideas for re-purposing leftovers, do you have an interest in composting, do you want to learn some new skills of saving and preserving foods?
March 27: Startups! We ask the question- How do food stores and farms get started anyway? And if you were to design your own food store or farm, what would it look like? While creating your own ideas, meet community members that have had inventive ideas about food production and are seeing these ideas through.
