Montgomery County

Montgomery County was formed in late 2009 and started performing around Victoria in early 2010. The band saw varying degrees of success playing local venues including the Saanich Fair but yet wouldn't see their greatest success until 2011.

It was in 2011 that the band was asked to open for George Canyon at Western Speedway in Langford. It was this performance that proved to be the turning point for the band.

2012 was the biggest year for the band and was highlighted by the bands performances at the Luxton Rodeo and Sunfest. The band's following increased throughout the year and the band found themselves booked solidly for the final 5 months of the year.

This success has continued into 2013 with the band continuing to enjoy a large and ever increasing popularity throughout the island. The band recently played a sold out show at the Queen's Hotel in Nanaimo where more than 200 people jammed the venue for their 1st country night. Success led to a series of bookings at the Queen's in coming months. The band was also asked to return to Luxton Rodeo for a 2nd year.

Montgomery County continues to entertain with their high energy show that includes many great new country hits from artists such as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn and Luke Bryan while playing popular original songs penned by lead singer Wayne Montgomery.
