Rod Charlesworth is primarily a self taught artist who paints his way across the country as he explores the grand tradition of capturing the Canadian landscape on canvas. Using brilliant colour and thick, broad brush strokes to emphasize the light and depth in each painting Rod has created a distinct and consistent style that is easily recognized. His work, whether bold landscapes or whimsical images of children at play, is now collected world-wide and he is more committed than ever to painting images that have a strong Canadian cultural influence.
