�Make sure August 16th is on your calendar and you are ready for an incredible day!� says organizer, Kealy Donaldson, �Rockin� The Island is completely affordable for everyone and the quality of the music is going to blow you away!�. Previously known as �Rockin� The River, organizers quickly realized that this event was bigger than just the River and did a minor name change to grab the attention from all corners of Vancouver Island. Tickets are on sale at www.tidemarktheatre.com Adults are $70, Students $50, Children $40, 3 and under are FREE. The music line up is incredible, all-Canadian talent featuring headliner These Kids Wear Crowns! These Kids Wear Crowns hail from the Lower Mainland and feature a high energy sound known as party-core with hits such �Jump� and �Lifetime�. Rockin� The Island is featuring 10 awesome artists playing Pop Rock and Indie music. Kuba Oms is 2nd on the bill and is a do not miss performer; Kuba resides in Victoria and performs North America wide. Well known for his hit �Electrolove�, he�ll be dropping a new album this summer and performing new songs as well as favourites! Quoia has just been added to the lineup and will be joining the Festival from the Victoria area and Georgia Murray is going to rock you with her cool beats. Georgia is originally from the North Island and is well known as an International Performer. Recently, Georgia has formed LIINKS and is dropping new music which is charting on Pop Radio stations throughout Canada, be sure to check her out! Don Amero joins us from Winnipeg with his soulful roots sound. Don�s trio brings great contribution to the diverse mix at this year�s Rockin� The Island Music Festival. Other performers include Brice Tabish, who�s from Campbell River, with his new band �Flight Behaviour� who are rocking the Vancouver scene. Time Well Wasted from the Comox Valley is an outstanding 12 piece dance band playing the greatest hits of your well wasted youth. Dance to the rockin� classics of the Doobie Brother, the Eagles, and Chicago. Get your groove on to Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and James Brown. Then get down with the Bentwood Boyz, Who Is Barbosa? and Diane Pancel, who not only dazzle the crowd with her amazing vocals but will be the Host and M.C. for the 2014 Festival. 10 acts, 12 hours of entertainment, 11 till 11, from an All-Canadian line up. �This is the NOT TO BE MISSED show of the summer� says Donaldson.
The Festival site which is located at the CRIB Soccer Fields, 1490 Island Highway, will be converted into a fully secured area with on-site parking for up to 900 vehicles. Parking on-site is $10 and will be patrolled by security to ensure vehicle safety; vehicles can be left on site until 5 pm the following day. For the full Festival experience, camp at Thunderbird RV on Tyee Spit or along the Quinsam River at Elk Falls Campground. Rockin� The Island will be running a shuttle route from both campgrounds via Island Highway to the Festival Site � FREE with your ticket. Destiny River Adventures will be operating the shuttle � what a great way to kick back and really enjoy a weekend of summer fun! There are no in-out privledges once you�ve entered the Festival Grounds, but not to worry, everything you need will be right at your fingertips. Included is a Fun Zone with all day entertainment for kids of all ages � from Bounce-A-Ramas, face painting, games, rides and more, there will be lots of fun between sets on-site. Food & Beverage is key and there is a great line up of vendors from Mexican to Syrian to Asian, this Multi-Cultural Food Fair is going to keep you going all day and well into the evening. There are two 19+ Beverage Areas on site: the general 19+ Beverage area will be open from 12 noon till 10 pm and the Exclusive VIP 19+ Area is located adjacent to the Main Stage. If you are looking to be spoiled, VIP tickets are the way to go! This $200 ticket includes a catered lunch and dinner on-site, casual seating adjacent to Main Stage, private no-host bar, 2 beverage tickets, Meet & Greet with Festival Artists, festival t-shirt and VIP Parking which is in close proximity to the Main Gate on Island Highway. These tickets are limited and will sell out fast as there are only 100 available. This year�s festival is anticipating 2,500 plus attendees and can host up to the capacity of 5,000 people.

Tickets are on sale now at www.tidemarktheatre.com, on-line sales will be available up to August 11th and will be available from the Tidemark Ticket Centre, during their hours of operation for walk up ticket buyers, until July 1st. Ticket prices jump to $85 for Adults at Gate on Saturday, August 16th. �The Festival is trying to keep close relationships with local businesses benefitting the community and creating as much local economic impact as possible. We�ve worked very hard to locate and attain resources in Campbell River. Believing it can be done is half the battle� notes Donaldson.
