A native Montréaler and graduate of Université du Quebec à Montréal, Robert Savignac is a meticulous and detailed painter whose exhibitions are rare. Having been represented by West End Gallery for over seventeen years this will only be his fifth solo exhibition in Victoria. Collectors are drawn to his work because of his masterful use of colour, perspective and composition, his ability to capture truly magnetic scenes is undeniable. Painting landscapes from his travels through Provence, Montréal and the surrounding countryside, Robert conveys a deep connection and understanding of his subject.
