Humans have always had reasons to travel, and for millennia we have also been writing songs about it. Join the Camerata Singers under the direction of Lindsay Suddaby and the Island Time Saxophone Quartet for a concert full of songs about going "there and back again." From Irish blessings to gospel numbers, across oceans and rivers, from Disney's "Moana" to songs about our very own Vancouver Island, don't miss this musical journey!
The Camerata Singers is a fun and energetic community choir for men and women. They sing many kinds of music, including classical, folk, spiritual, and pop. Each year they have a Christmas concert and a spring concert in May based around a theme, and often feature guest performers from the community.
The Island Time Saxophone Quartet, based in Nanaimo, BC presents a variety of music - from medieval to modern, classical to jazz - for almost any performance situation! All four ITSQ saxophonists live, work and play on the beautiful Vancouver Island east coast.
Please note that the Quartet will be playing as a prelude to the concert, starting at 7:00pm, when the doors open.
