The evening starts with a beginner's Lindy Hop lesson at 7:30. This is included free with your dance admission.Then Social Swing Dancing starts at 8:30 and is relaxed and informal. We dance safe. Please be scent free.
Our theme is "Roaring Twenties" and you might see some gangsters and their Molls and some Flapper Girls. Dress is informal but nice or full dress-up - as you wish.
A "no host bar" will be serving snacks and drinks suitable to the "Roaring Twenties" theme. I.D. is required if ordering alcohol.
We are delighted to have Patrick Courtin, Alicia Murray and friends playing our hot swing dance music in a style that is always very danceable and just "pulls dancers onto the dance floor." This includes lots of Jive and some Lindy Hop, Slow Blues, Charleston, Balboa, Jitterbug. There might even be a waltz.
