Rebecca Lau and Larry Wong will be reading from their recently published books, Mami and Dim Sum Stories.
Rebecca Lau was born in Tapachula, Chiapas, growing up in a closely knit Chinese family in Mexico. Rebeca joined her parents when they moved to Vancouver and currently she works at the University of British Columbia. Mami is Rebeca�s first book and recounts the story of her maternal grandmother.
Larry Wong was born in Chinatown and in Dim Sum Stories, writes fondly of his family and childhood friends. His stories also appeared in Eating Stories: A Chinese Canadian and Aboriginal Potluck. Larry is a past-president of the Chinese Canadian Historical Society of BC.
