KRYSIA GALLIEN originates from Montreal but has now made her home in the beautiful Songhees area of Victoria. She has set up a studio gallery where more of her work can be seen by appointment.

Known for her love of flowers, especially roses, this series in acrylics is a departure from the watercolors she has created in large format, One series, Kimono Dreams is based on the Japanese peony and it’s motifs,

Reflections on Roses explores the more contemporary feel of acrylics embracing the dynamics of texture, gesture and colour. The energy of Life leaps off the canvas sending a feeling of excitement and vitality to the viewer.

Roses are a potent symbol of all the goodness that strives to manifest from within us. As we bloom into our full expression, we are able to radiate abundance and joy in our world, THE painting ALCHEMICAL VESSEL tells the story of this dynamic unfolding in all its richness, The circular nature of the rose references the circular nature of our unfolding,
